What to do when a stablecoin network is suspended on Bybit

Networks are sometimes paused for maintenance or upgrades, and transfers sent during a pause can be delayed. How Bybit users can spot suspension notices, choose an alternative safely and avoid rushing.

From time to time, deposits or withdrawals on a particular network are paused, for example during a network upgrade or maintenance. Bybit usually shows a notice on the relevant deposit or withdrawal page. Users who follow their usual routine without reading may send funds on a paused network and then wait longer than expected, or switch in a hurry to an alternative the destination does not support. This guide explains how to spot suspensions, choose an alternative safely and avoid mistakes made under time pressure. It quotes no fees.

Read the page every time

Before each stablecoin transfer, open the deposit or withdrawal page and select the network you plan to use. Read any notice shown beneath it, such as a suspension, a delay warning or a change in minimum amounts. These notices can appear at short notice. Making it a habit to read them takes seconds and prevents most suspension-related delays.

Check the other side too

A network can be active on Bybit but paused at the destination, or the other way round. Before sending, look at the deposit page on the receiving side as well. If either side shows a suspension or warning for that network, do not send on it. Waiting for the pause to end is usually the simplest option when the transfer is not urgent.

Switching to an alternative network

If you must send now, find a network that both sides list as active for the same stablecoin. Confirm the full network name on each side, copy a fresh address for that network and check whether a memo is required. Because this is a route you may not have used before, send a small test first and wait for it to arrive before sending the rest.

If funds were sent during a pause

If you already sent on a paused network, do not send again on another network to compensate. Keep the transaction ID, check the transfer on a block explorer and read the official announcement for guidance on when processing will resume. Contact support through the app if the announced period passes. Ignore strangers who offer to speed things up for a fee. Patience during a pause is almost always cheaper than a hurried workaround.
